The Kita-Yatsugatake Ropeway is a large ropeway that seats 100 people, and allows you to enjoy an aerial walk in about 7 minutes from Sanroku Station at an altitude of 1,771m to Tsuboniwa Station at an altitude of 2,237m. At the summit station, there is a ``Tsuboniwa'' art created by nature, and along the walking path, which takes about 30 to 40 minutes to go around, alpine plants bloom in their natural state every season, captivating visitors. In addition, using the ropeway makes it easier to climb around Kita-Yatsugatake, and the Kita-Yokodake climbing route from Ropeway Sancho Station is especially popular among people of all ages. Please use it for sightseeing, mountain climbing, and trekking.

*Children's rates apply to elementary school students. Adult rates apply to junior high school students and above (12 years and older). *Two children under elementary school age can ride for free if accompanied by a guardian. *The Tsuboniwa promenade from Sancho Station is in a natural state of gravel and soil, and cannot be accessed (walked) in a wheelchair or with a stroller. *Although we do not charge baggage fees, we ask that each person carry approximately one rucksack (excluding skis and boards). Please contact us separately for luggage larger than that. Bicycles, dangerous items, etc. are not allowed on board.

○Ropeway normally runs every 20 minutes (at busy times it runs every 10 minutes). [Departs every hour at 00/20/40 minutes during business hours] *Trains depart from Sanroku Station and Sancho Station at the same time.
○The ride time is approximately 7 minutes.
The above operating hours are subject to change without notice.
○Round-trip riding is not possible on the last ropeway trip. The departure one before the last will be the last departure for the round-trip flight.
○We are not responsible for any losses incurred by the customer if they miss the last flight.
○The ropeway may be suspended or its business hours may change without notice depending on the weather conditions on the day. When you go out, please be sure to check the operation status of the day.

*The ropeway will be suspended from November 18th (Monday) to December 13th (Friday), 2024 due to maintenance and inspection.

If you are boarding the ropeway in a group of 20 or more people, we will ask you for your scheduled time (Fax 0266-67-3220). It is not possible to board at a specified time, and it may be changed depending on the congestion situation on the day or changes in arrival time. (You will be boarded in the order of arrival.) Please note that we cannot accept reservations for private use or exclusive use. Even if you contact us with a specific time, you will board the bus in the order of arrival, so please allow plenty of time for your journey.

 

  • Bringing dangerous items into the ropeway is prohibited.
  • Bicycles cannot be transported.
  • You cannot bring in large luggage.
  • Please refrain from using strollers when it is crowded.
  • Please refrain from bringing pets (dogs, cats, etc.) on board. (Excluding guide dogs and assistance dogs)
  • Insect nets and insect cages are not allowed.
  • Always keep large backpacks off your shoulders while riding.

The Kita-Yatsugatake Ropeway is located in the Kita-Yatsugatake area, which is said to be relatively calm among the Yatsugatake mountain range located in the center of Nagano Prefecture. ) is a ropeway that crosses over saddles (depressions between mountains). The altitude of the base station from which you will depart is 1,771m, and the altitude of the mountaintop station you will be heading to is 2,237m. The height difference is 466m, and the total length is 2,215m. The 100-passenger ropeway operates all year round, and is popular with tourists, mountaineers, and hikers in the summer, and skiers and snowboarders in the winter.
